Very strange (and late) move this. The AM3+ platform is on its way out. Nice looking coolers though!

not so, the new one isn't launch yet, and also "old" socket stay in shop around 1 or 2 year before get lost in history... there is still new 1150 mother board, and 775 are still aviable, and even AGP board on demand with ASrock ...

The CPU cooler doesn't look like anything special.... Just another heatpipe based tower cooler....
