i read the review on the fury x , its got some plus points but i think the aftermarket versions of 980ti are now starting to become avaliable and they have out of the box overclocks with nice cool & quiet coolers on them like hall of fame, asus rog and evga classified, it will kill off the fury x

The big problem with the furyX for me is the price, if it was lik 50-100$ cheaper it could be instant buy for me .

^^ this seems to be the general consensus amongst most of the people i have spoken to about fury x. there's no denying that its a step in the right direction, but its not quite there in terms of comparison to a 980ti, it does fantastically well at 4k, but thats not enough to make it worth purchasing at the same price as a stock 980ti. i'm sure people would be all over it if it was a good $100 - $150 cheaper than its current launch price. really hopeful that this gives AMD the resurgence they so desperately need 🙂

In a few weeks the price may come done, it can happen after release 🙂. It will be interesting to see what the Windows 10 release and drivers hold for the Fury X, the current price could be justified if it shines as well with the 'love' they've given the Windows 10 drivers recently 🙂.
i highly doubt it. the FURY line is suppose to be their newest and baddest flagship card right now. more than likely, they're gonna do what Nvidia did and that's free promos with a FURY card. the closet thing we'll get to lowered prices will be rebates.

For now it looks that way, but then again it is also possible that Fury X would also have their own aftermarket coolers later on like having Thicker,Longer,Bigger rads with better pumps. For now AMD needs to work on their drivers.

So.. um.. Wow.. https://i.imgur.com/dCtGttl.jpg
Yep, crazy. Here, all sold out. People are staying in virtual queue and wait for next batch even while shops bumped price. But not so big price bump here. like 10% above 980Ti. If it is selling that well, guys here expecting it to drop in price in one week may prepare themselves for disappointment.

Man... talk about groundhog day with you AMD guys. First comes months of hype since AMD can't stop leaking upcoming products... followed by the "leaked" (see: fake) benchmarks showing how AMD's new product crushes the competition, resulting in more hype. Then the big day comes, reviews are released, and ego's deflate faster than you can say Tom Brady. Lastly is the real kicker... they all complain about price even though the performance is within 5% of the competition, followed by a proclamation that they'll buy it once there is a substantial price cut. And they wonder why AMD is on the verge of bankruptcy...

supply and demand 101 😉 At this point in time, they could sell it at Titan X prices. They barely have enough samples for press reviews At this pace, and untill they sort out supply isssues (more likely than not followed by a price drop) Fury X won't make a dent in 980Ti sales
