Because these companies are all buying parts from what appears to be the same places (all these chairs are nearly identical) and they are most likely marking it up like 200% and then selling it for a killing. It's no different than a "gaming" router. They throw some newer WIFI tech in with a crappy switch and almost non-existent firewall slap the word "gaming" on it and charge a bend over and take it price. And because people buy it they keep doing it.
