Exactly what I thought as well. Aside from the RGB, it looks like an ancient relic.

They better start design around 3700X since it will be easier to cool and will make the laptop much slimmer/lighter/cheaper with same gaming performance 🙂.
Till now it was understandably that 9900K made Gamer's Wet (From excitement and Heat) but it's going to change soon.

I wonder if this is gonna cost a mere arm or if it'll require a leg too 😀. I don't mind having a decently spec'd laptop but they're so darned expensive compared to desktops.
Better to be an ugly brick that can run without throttling than a slick looking thing that can't.

Exactly this - sleek, thin laptops have a place in the world, but they fall apart when it comes to performance. Why pay 2/3 of this price for a fancy MaxQ laptop that puts out half the performance?

Desktop computers can do that. I mean this is hardly something i would call a laptop or a mobile device. It's a computer with a small case and a monitor attached to it that you can carry around more easily than a normal desktop computer. It's surely running too hot to use it on your lap. And while it would have been an acceptable daily mobile computer back in the 90ies by looking at the pictures i would definitely not call this a mobile device you can carry around on a daily basis in 2019.

my kitchen counter was not marble or granite and only 2k us so that rules that out.
