Some Saudi billionaires student son will be happy. " Oh look dad, its only 4k euro! 😀 "

Price ignored. It looks like they've still not changed that god damn horrible keyboard. The GT72 models are great except for the keyboard. It's a huge let down on a great line up.

You don't like Cherry MX brown...?

That laptop is amazing, I want one with the 1080s config. If I ever win the lottery I know what I am getting, its freaking crazy that a laptop can have so much juice and tech in it. Cool

I like the Cherry MX Browns myself, but looking at the laptop... It seems the keyboard will be too high or the "casing" around it seems too high.

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the keyboard? I do a lot of traveling and was looking into this series.
There isn't any. The keyboard is fine lol, I've owned a GT80 before.

Is that what's underneath? It's the top keys I don't like. Completely flat like you get on those cheap £280 laptops.

I have no idea what you're on about, the entire keyboard is Cherry MX brown.

Seems a bit overkill for 1920x1080 though I suppose one can always connect a external monitor. Also for a high-end laptop shouldn't they have gone with the Pro edition of the OS? :P (I guess the average gamer might not need these additions though.) EDIT: What's 4000 Euro in this local currency? ~38000 SEK it seems so about 18000 SEK above what I've spent on this system. (Then again a 1080 is like what, 8000 SEK here almost if not higher? so two of those and you are almost up to that sum already heh.)

Those panels overclock beyond 100Hz.

Ah they do? Well that would be one really good reason then (Well for those who do modify the panel firmware - is it? - for it.) if the GPU has the power to match the framerate for the higher refresh rate. 🙂 Though depending on the game and how it's optimized or even supports multi-GPU at all well that could be a problem though a 1080 GPU is certainly powerful though come to think of it depending on cooling efficiency there could be some throttling too. (Also no idea what a "8 cell" battery translates to in terms of hours though you'd probably want it cable connected when the GPU and CPU are near full load.)

nVIDIA control panel supports panel overclocking via custom resolution settings. The laptop needs two 330W Delta PSUs to fully power itself. It's not really meant to be used with one, but could be. Battery life while gaming is probably 30 minutes tops. I bet the machine uses around 440W while gaming and peaks 500W+.
