The only two reasons why a CEO (or any other high-profile individual) falls of a building are: - He threw himself off said building - He was "helped" in his demise There's virtually zero chance this is an accident. Anyway, RIP.

Well, this is a horrible thing to happen, and as wavetrex says I too think it was not by accident - you don't just accidentally fall off a building at your place of work, it's not like he's a window cleaner or something! Reminds me of the Foxconn stuff years ago when employees were jumping off roofs....he did it to himself or it was orchestrated...probably himself if I had to guess whilst knowing nothing about the guy.

I've had a couple MSI GPU and motherboard in the past, always great product that served me well. Condolences to his family and collegues.

I'm going to call this now: it was Asus. Their boards and support are BS, wile MSI have been absolutely magnificent.

Who knows what happened. I won't even speculate until there's more information.

All my GPUs in the past ~10 years were MSI. So whatever his contribution was, he sure was CEO in a time were they made(and still make) some great products, so I thank him for that. As for the cause of death, it doesn't even matter at this point. The man is dead, rest in peace.

What ?? If it was one of your family members, you will certainly want to know why they died ! That was an incredible stupid thing to say, that it doesn't matter. Of course it matters ! But unfortunately, by the time police will finish their investigation, the world will have long forgotten about this event, considering the many other crappy things that are going on all around this year.

What a shame, truly. My condolences. Their products have always served me well and when the one time my 2x GPU's failed me, I got a full refund. That is customer satisfaction.

you don't expect this kind of news from the hardware community, my condolences for his family and friends

When I saw the headline, I was expecting COVID. This is a surprise.

Are you retarded? What I OBVIOUSLY meant was that there is no need to speculate on whether or not it was a suicide or murder, the man is dead and it's a tragedy for his loved ones. /facepalm

Actually, it is no surprise at all, due to (at least) two facts: 1. The whole affair with "covid" is merely a social engineering (manipulation with lots of people). Hardly anyone died from it - people who where diagnosed with the virus, mainly had already been heavily sick (already had pneumonia, cancer, tuberculosis etc.). 2. Each year an estimated 646 000 individuals die from falls globally of which over 80% are in low- and middle-income countries. 37.3 million falls that are severe enough to require medical attention occur each year. https://tinyurl.com/y4gy7625

Your personal NEEDINESS for more information...you're NOT a family member so your angst seems more like attention seeking than caring about the victim. RIP Mr. Chiang.

Rest in peace Sir :X Im afraid it was a suicide. So I hope he found his peace, I really do!!! I have MSI GTX970 in the MSI B450 Tomahawk. MSI won me over ASUS, made me transit from the company I used since 90s and thats a helluva hard thing to do! So he did good. But Im afraid the hard work took its tolls. Once again, I hope hes in a better place.

Take off the tin-foil hat; COVID may not be super deadly but it isn't "social engineering". It is highly contagious and the hundreds of thousands of people who died isn't insignificant. We don't know Chiang's health condition so it's totally reasonable he could die from it. The disease is all over the news, so it's not unreasonable to assume that he was a victim. Anyway, my surprise isn't the fact he didn't die from COVID, it's that he died from falling. If you read the source you provided, you'll find that people who die from such things tend to be lower or middle class. Being a CEO of a tech company isn't something I'd consider middle class, and certainly not lower. It's surprising for him to die of it. If it wasn't going to be COVID, I'd have expected something more likely for a CEO to die from, like some other disease, assault, or a transportation accident.

Rubbish (doesn't need more explanation).

MSI products have been terrible for me, so here's hoping things change for the better.
