Really happy with the 4090 Suprim X, never thought I would put half the price of my first car in a GPU tho. Elegant high performance product, with high quality packaging as well.

Yes Msi has quality products. Too bad the price of a kidney is not enough to get one of them... 🙁 Msi has gone mad with prices, atm looks like they are on top. As a side note, paying 2.5K € for a graphics card (that is the average cost of 4090s in my country) to play games!!??!! not only is ridiculous, but it is also the price of a 2nd hand well preserved 10 years old car.Take into account also that in about a year will cost half . I'd rather get Playstation with 600€ play easily all games at 4K ( like real plug & play) and say goodbye to pc gaming once and for all.

Elegant? Give me a break. It's an overpriced GPU with RGB lights. What a ridiculous way to describe a graphics card. lol

Not in any rush to change my 3080 SuprimX.

Prices are mostly dictated by nVidia, the card itself is an elegant product. "Expensive" is a point of view thing.

I considered GPU prices normal during Early 1990's to 2011-2012. GPUs became "Expensive/Overpriced" with the GTX 600 series and the introduction of $1000+ dual-GPU and TITAN.

RTX 4080 is slower than rtx 3090 / 3090Ti ( according to some leaks on the web ) , this card will sell starting at $1,200+ US Dollars 😱 ( 1,530 Euros at the UK ), Huang is smoking something very strong 😛 ... Up for sale worldwide right now.

I have mentioned it a couple of times in the past, but over here shops decisively reduced their stocks of the old gen well before the launch of this new gen, so RTX 3090 (Ti) isn't available anymore. I'm sure you could order them from abroad still, and maybe from some smaller shops as well, definitely inside prebuilts, but generally speaking even if 4080 was weaker, yet more expensive than the last price of 3090, you'd still be forced to buy 4080.

I knew card will have that 1500eur mark its the most expensive x80 class we have ever seen. Nvidia is on crack. Still, 4080 is not slower than 3090 and 3090ti actually its 20-25% faster and with frame generation it will kick their ass.

you could still get cards like rx580, gtx 1070, gtx 1080ti - all fantastic for the price. even 3060ti was great, if found at msrp. beat prev gen 2080 Super at 400 msrp

too bad all 3060ti's are above msrp unless your buying from a miner.

I understand why 4090 needs such a big cooler... but 4080 is a much smaller and lower power chip... there is absolutely no reason why it needs such a massive cooler.

Yeah...scalpers on it big time.... £3500 for a 4090 founders ed

I think its great because I may very well power lock it to 250 watts to make a near silent card. I need to see some testing on that but if the 4090 is any proof these things scale down to lower power very nicely. Of course, I want to see what AMD brings frist. I want near silent and under 250 watts due to the heat and living in Texas. I did SLI before and hated sweating while gaming.

You dont need that big a cooler to make a 250w gpu silent.

Think i'm gonna have to go with MSI after all, really not liking the new Strix cards with the red and blue.

Which is exactly why I would power limit to 250. Plus, it's not just the sound but the actual sweating your balls gaming off when its 100f+ outside.

On summer yes even 250w can be much at times as my 2080super is just that but in winder i would let the 4080 revv at 320w and heat up the house. 😀
