Yeah, got fed up with waiting for custom cards that when they arrived were nothing special, so finally bunged my other 780 in and have ignored the 980 altogether.

Yeah, got fed up with waiting for custom cards that when they arrived were nothing special, so finally bunged my other 780 in and have ignored the 980 altogether.

Lightning cards have always been late in the product cycle. 580 release was November 2010 for instance, Lightning 580 came May 2011. Difference between the 680 and the 680 Lightning have been three months also. So no big deal here.

Yeah, marketing team skipped some basic physics classes. If I could hear it, I should've seem it before (considering one is still looking for it...). Also I definitely don't want to hear it, make it fast and silent. /endrant - drinks cup of coffee - yay! lightning incoming!
