It seems the Heatsink is much more bulky than the one used in the GTX1070/1080.

Thought it was kind of funny this happened...a neighbor just bought a new desktop PC from Dell (yesterday) with 8GBs ram, a 1 TB hard drive, and an A10-8700p AMD APU, USB 3.0 support, a 3-year Dell premium onsite warranty, Realtek sound and networking, including wireless and bluetooth connectivity, & more, plus a Dell 24" HDMI gaming monitor, including shipping and tax, for about the same price as this GTX 1080 Ti...;) I know that my neighbor's new system is really entry level--but still--it was something to ponder. 'Course, now, if I was still in my 20's with money to burn, well...:D

My... PRECIOOOOUS! :eyebrows: I'm pretty surprised that it won't look exactly like my 1070 (or 1080), so that must mean the 1080Ti does generate quite a bit more heat under the hood. Either way, I don't mind 3 slot designs anymore ever since I dropped SLI. Can't wait... 🙂

Wow i am astonished about the new design of the cooler :stewpid: More seriously this cooler is very silent and do marvelous job under OC... So i understand that MSI haven't changed the design. 🙂

I'd love to see that black light LED shine 😀 To me it seems just a dual slot cooler looking a bit bulky 😉 Could be wrong, as there seems to be a DVI connection present as well.

If you look closer this card have too much metal on it.How much?Maybe 3-4 kilos? 😀 Need to be properly cooled,because will be too hot in the case. Kill all dragoons,like Skyrim style.

Very nice card, MSI should sell the dragons. Btw the cooler is for sure different from the past gens, now the pipes run through the card not top or bottom, like the used to, seems more in line with how the Accelero/Gigabyte cooler piping is design. Im wondering if there will be an MSI GTX1080Ti Lightning?

I wouldn't get my hopes up, apparently MSI decided to drop the Lighting line iirc. Either way, I prefer the color scheme of the Gaming X, Lighting will make most sense with a custom wc on it anyway (if they make one).
