192GB of RAM, just about enough for Hogwarts then.

Is DDR5 still hard to drive? I upgraded to 4x8 sticks of DDR4 on my Zen2+ (had 2 since 2020, ordered another 2 a couple months ago,) and while it works, everyone tells me "how lucky I am" because apparently most people have to drop from 3600 to 3200 for it to work.
Is DDR5 solving this once and for all?

Finally we can load entire game in the RAM 😛

daisy-chain is more appealing for ddr5 since is easier to achieve the higher speeds.
the short answer is no.
DDR5 isn't any more difficult to drive than ddr4 technically speaking, they are actually very similar, the problem is the very high frequencies, the electrical requirements are higher to meet spec compared to ddr4.
I imagine the poor 4 dimm support is mainly due to the lack of a need for 4 dimms and topology choice , when 2-4gb dimms were the norm, there was a pretty strong case for it, but now you can get 32gb dimms, and 64 gb dimms are possible.
for reference manufactures can choose the memory layout which effects the performance characteristics, The 2 main layouts are daisy-chain and t-topology, daisy chain allows for higher speeds with 2 dimms, t-topology allows for higher speeds with 4 dimms than daisy-chain, but cannot support speeds as high overall.[SPOILER]
