Asrock already has the bios out for the APU's

My mobo is missing from the list. Came out a few days ago. (X370 Gaming Plus)

Mine is missing too. Got it yesterday. X370 Krait. I'm a bit disappointed that I can't set my Core voltage any lower than 1.30v. I had my system running at 3.825@1.25v. Now, I have to use 1.3v! I'm not sure if I can roll back either. As of right now, it won't let me. I emailed support, was told to clear the CMOS and see if I can roll back. I may try it later. Although, I'm sure I'll need the newer bios if I go to a Ryzen 2 on this board. 🙁

Downgrade usually requires special procedure, and special image of entire flash content. Btw, Does your mobo have function to load BIOS image from flash drive for testing?

No, I don't think I can run the bios from a flash drive. I still haven't tried resetting the CMOS to see if I can get back to the previous bios. I will try to get to that some time today...maybe. lol I may just leave it, depending on what kind of numbers Ryzen 2 releases with, and if I upgrade, I'll probably need the newer bios anyway. Yea....1.3v is crazy. I guess I can up the multiplier to take advantage of it. I should be fine to 3.875-3.9. I think over 3.9 my chip needs 1.350v. It's been a long time since I messed with it really. I was very happy with 3.825@1.25v LLC4 and 3200 class 14 RAM. 🙂

I didn't check to see if that option was in my bios, I am just seeing this. Next restart I will check though. Also, I'm not sure why I would want to boot from a USB stick every time I start my computer. I mean, yea, it might be a option, but not a solution really. I did reset the CMOS and was unable to flash the previous bios I emailed MSI support back telling that clearing the CMOS didn't work. I'm sure they will want me to RMA board. I guess that would be easier than releasing the next bios with the voltage issue fixed.(sarcasm).

Reset of CMOS never led to downgrade of BIOS. As I wrote, there are tools on MSI's forums for downgrading. And You need special image of BIOS to do it too. So taking just regular older BIOS is not an option. As for loading from USB. No it is not advice on how to downgrade. It is advice on how to check new BIOS before you decide to flash it. I am sure that they'll release new one soonish as 2200G/2400G are not only chips coming. And even with those 2 new chips, one should expect some things will need tuning.

I understand what you are saying. 🙂 It doesn't appear that I have that option with this board. When I choose the M-Flash option, it reboots into it, doesn't give me any options other than choosing a bios. MSI is stating the same thing in every response. RMA the board. I've asked several questions, and they don't answer anything but, RMA the board. This is my 3rd board from MSI....and I've normally gotten positive responses, this time, just the same old dance. Very disappointed atm.
