People can always use Nvidia`s DSR or AMD`s UVR to "render" an higher resolution. It`s what i do on my screen, that has a native resolution of 2560x1080, that looks a litle blocky when playing games, but with Nvidia`s DSR, the screen renders games at 3413x1440. It maybe not be as good as native but it`s very good in the end. Of course a screen like this should ship with a much better resolution but for those who want it anyway, there`s a solution.

@Agonist you really have to jump in and defend any poor defenseless ultra wide screen don't you ? Actually most of the complaining falls in the pixel density not the form factor , also there is a thing called personal taste !
I can call personal taste, well tasteless. 3440x1440 monitor still look 1000X better graphically in game, then a 1080p. Anyone who thinks a 27 inch 1080p PPI looks the same, has sever denial issues. Too many of you 16:9 die hards get in here and flog your crappy 4k and 8k nonsense. So who really is in here jumping to defend things. The shoe fits full of irony. I have owned ultrawides, and superwides since 2015. I have far more experience with them then you, and any 16:9 trash. If you wanna be stuck in 2007, that is your choice.

@Agonist 84 ppi is straight up terrible regardless of a form factor or size this is literally the only complain people had on the previous posts . You can call your self an expert ride the high horse and act like you are in authority on the matter , what ever makes you feel better really :P fact remains you came in and complained that people do not like it cause is ultra wide while literally nobody said anything about that , the only complaint was about pixel per inch .... And yeah 1440p would have been awesome if that monitor was 34 inch .

lol wtf, I have had an ultra-wide for 5 years, and I then switched to a 4k 32inch, I personally find the 4k 32inch better. I can fit more on the screen and still see a lot with the 32-inch. Also, games still don't fully support widescreen, they stretch no matter what. Some games don't even allow the widescreen due to being about to see more on the sides. 2k will always be better than 1080p... You have to be blind as a bat to not notice the smugging on a 27-inch. 1080p is terrible.

Like you said you personally and i here still prefer and use an ultrawide so everyone has different taste and opinions. Recently all games i tried supports 21:9 and they look glorious. We are not in the 2010's anymore.

Call of duty still has that small amount of stretching. I just cant stand 1080p due to how blurry it is on bigger screens. I like my crystal clear image and denser pixels. 1080p is only popular because most people don't want to spend money... Just like 1070 is still on the top charts of Steam. BANG FOR BUCK will always be what people get most.
