There are, and more than we think. There are lots of folks who can fork 5/6000€ without a sweat.
If it can make enough Crypto in no time it's worth it, I guess.

Z Halo product. If it's a success... we will be doomed

Gpu for the plebs. Real men and women never pay so much for nothing. We're talking about pure nothingness here. This gpu will be doomed by the end of the year. It's not even viable for miners. 😀

Bingo, my first car.

Do not try and bend the 3090 Ti, that’s impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth… there is no 3090 Ti.

I´m not talking about miners, i´m talking about highly skilled professionals who make big bucks and can afford toys like this without too much fuss. Look at football players, for example, many buy super expensive high end rigs despite the fact they only play on consoles...

I know right, I'm thinking about buying both of them. Seriously though, I've never understood those who buy Ferrari's and Porsches when a Toyota Corolla does everything you'd ever need /s.

Imagine 1900MHz and 21Gbps combined, my OC'd 3090 runs at 1755MHz Default. This will be 100-150 more watts just for a small boost over a factory overclocked 3090. Hope this trend doesn't continue, it wasn't that long ago when the high end cards were 200w tops. It's doubled in 5 years.

Meh... I couldn't care less about halo items and their absurd prices. They've always been a ridiculous value option and as such have only ever appealed to a select few. $5k? Ha! The latest RTX Titan XXX GTS Ti Bitcoin Edition may as well cost $100,000. At $5,500, it's already WAY beyond anything most of us would ever consider paying (as it already was at $1,000, at $2,000... etc). ^That (halo pricing) space will always be crazy to me. It's the consumer grade stuff like an RTX 3060 or a 6700XT selling at (what used to be) halo card prices that really irks me. $200 and $300 level cards that now sell for $600-$1,000. This jacked up timeline must end.

Galax have a white edition and a pink edition but they do not refer to any of there cards being a BLACK edition....which tells me this is a fake advert from a store trying to scalp a product that currently only exists on paper. I may have made some stupid choices over the last 50 or so years of my life but buying a card for 6 times more than my 3070 that could be....at best double the fps of my measly £539 Msi 3070 would not be one of them, anyone that is prepared to buy at these.... pathetic prices.. is in my opinion doing more damage than the scalpers them selves.

Highly skilled professionals would buy a propper card or more though. As for other people that have enough money not to care, sure.

Some day, some way, maybe sooner, maybe later, there will be a glut of GPUs flooding the market. Profitable mining with GPUs is not an endless thing. Fabs coming on stream will have much more capacity than ever before. With the right circumstances coming into place at the right time, a glut could very well be a possibility. That is what I am holding out for. Gaming is not that big a thing for me to jump on a new GPU before then.

My most recent guess was $6500 so to see over $6000 makes me feel great! I look forward to the first $10,000 GPU. I bet they'd still sell out a month before release. I think high-end gaming is certainly an upper-class only market now. Actual upper-class people could spend $25,000 on a GPU and actually not care. Those people spend $40,000 on lunch with their friends (literally).

I can understand people buying unnecessary toys when they have plenty of money, if i could i would buy a nice Porsche (Boxter GTS). The problem is that i don´t have money for those toys, so i have to content myself with a Clio. And i bigger problem is guys like me trying to buy luxury items that are mode for those with lots of money...

If this is the trend for the near future, then I'm deathly afraid that AMD and nVidia will price themselves right out of the market. Maybe they want to get out of the 3d GPU market, anyway. It's hard to tell. I think it's telling that only a very few people ever saw AMD's and nVidia's GPUs at the prices told us they'd be available for. AMD is still advertising MSRP on the US AMD store site, but there are no GPUs for sale there and haven't been any available there for ~13 months. I was ready to plunk down $650 for a 6800XT the first day in 2020 that AMD said they'd be available from their store, more than I've ever paid for a 3d GPU--but there were none for sale and none ever since, either. A few people have paid 2x+ the MSRP to get one--not me, though. It's the principle of the thing. I don't like getting sucker punched. These prices are idiotic. This kind of thing is going to hurt the entire industry--including the game devs!--should it continue.

I would rather buy a really nice PC for that price.
