AMD will be dissapointment for me. No matter how far can they OC they cpu. After thoose factory OC-d cpu-s with over 200+ TDP,no comment. Meantime since the motherboard is gaming,and they OC-d 1core to 6ghz i dont think is possible to play BF4 on single core no matter is it 6ghz or 10ghz 😀

TBH The Kaveri stuff is pretty kickass, we actually have a 95W chip here that can game using the IGP at 1080p for the most part. Intel can't even scratch it at the price point.

Seems to me some of the people here commenting don't have any idea what it's like in the competitive overclock world. Cores are always disabled to reach high frequencies, other things are disabled many times too just on the motherboard alone. This is no marketing ploy, they didn't hide that from anyone, its something that should be expected though.

Is this site trying to sell you on a 7850k based on the thread name? No, this is why the article is there for you to read. That's why the CPUz shot is there. But there's one thing not there that's suggesting this is to show off how much at least a single core can take in extreme overclocking. There's no verification shot.
For hardcore overclocking here are a few things,
When doing hardcore overclocking like this LN2 is used usually. The person or team setting this up, is only making it to clock it high. As long as it's stable while it hits the high clocked frequency, they don't care too much about the damage to the board or cpu after it's all said and done. They're not doing it for benchmarking, or performance gain. They're pretty much doing it to say it can do it under the right circumstances.
Granted we don't know what was used to cool this, I'm only assuming LN2 because of the cores being disabled, a high clock, higher voltage, and no verification shot.
