lol at the bashing in this thread. I'll add some more fuel to the fire: For $300, check out what you can buy at respectable brands such as Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, AKG, Grado, ... and be truly amazed with really good sound.

Well yep. Monster is such a joke. Sure their analog cables are good. But you get same stuff for cheaper somewhere else. They got nothing else going for them but a name.

Some of their IEM's are decent. They do overcharge by a buggerton and the sound you get from most of their equipment is subpar. They're also the OEM for Beats if I remember right. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that these new headphones are probably internally the same as one of the Beats versions.

Is there something like iFixIt of the audio world? Because personally I'd like to know the teardown of Monster headphones, Beats included, and be compared to others of the same price bracket in regards of component quality. =b
