Now that's one classy mouse; both form & function covered. I really dislike those LED-laden mouses with hard-to-clean Transformeresque designs.

Blah laser, led lights, tons of marketing bull****.. If you want really good gaming grade mouse with no extra bull**** included - get Zowie FK.

Meh, you really need to read between the lines; Hilbert messing up the original formatting of the features didn't help either. =b The actual feature list is just half of what's written. Ambidextrous design Supported shape for use by both right and left handed gamers. Palm or Claw grip Suited to both Claw and Palm grip Maximum grip 4 layers of rubber coating ensure a maximum grip and soft touch feel. Lightning fast processor The 32bit ARM Processor running at 72Mhz is the powerful engine to power it all. 8200 DPI laser sensor Remarkable tracking performance built for gaming. 128kb built-in memory Bring your settings and recorded macros with you stored into one of 5 profiles. Customizable LED lighting system Personalize your mouse with up to.16.8 Million color options. Stunning Lighting effects Solid, Blinking, Pulsating and Breathing effects running single color or color shift. S.Q.A.T™ – Surface Quality Analyzer Tool Surface Quality Analyzer Tool measures tracking quality of your gaming surface. In-game 3 step DPI adjustment Set 3 DPI values and switch easily between them in-game. 9 fully programmable buttons The buttons can be assigned to any key, mouse command or macro. In-game profile switch Switch easily between stored profiles in-game. Adjustable polling rate Tune it all the way up to 1000Hz and up to 1ms response time Compare it with Zowie FK's feature list, it's more or less has the same presentation. Aside from the 9 buttons, LED lights, fully programmable buttons, and in-game profile switch, that is. I could care less about the S.Q.A.T. (eww) and 'lightning fast processor' (wtf). Whether that justifies the extra $30 is up to anyone's preferences, but the FK just doesn't cut it for me. And it has a yellow scroll wheel & bottom; hell no. =b

Well you have some point there. But for me what makes good mouse is simplicity without sacrificing performance. So in nutshell: - No need for software. - One of the best optical sensors on the market. - It works. No acceleration (sensor) nor lift-off problems etc. Just saying that expensive mouse with 100000DPI and other idiocracies typically won't make the mouse any better than cheaper and simpler ones. But basically. What does good mouse for simple end user - is it's shape.
