A bit late indeed but for me in particular its what would sway me away from the z370 chipset. Been waiting for a board just like this to be released 😀

Quite pricy and Yes a bit late to the party, waited for Asus to release a good mini itx board for too long. Finally went with micro ATX gigabyte as it was the only one with 3.1 Gen2 ports. Had to move from mini itx to a micro ATX build. Guess I will wait till Zen 2 for my upgrade.

If only the eps connector was beside the 24 pin one..... i miss the asus impact power layout

What a ripoff, and I thought ASRock's X370 board was overpriced. The only advantage this board has over all of its competitors is an additional fan connector. That doesn't make it worth roughly $100 more over its competitors. We all know Ryzens don't OC that well, so its not like this would have an edge there. Meanwhile, it lacks video headers for APUs, and it lacks the audio channels for surround sound (features that competing boards have). At least the layout is nice. But, I guess people will pay anything for ROG.

its about freakin' time. while the price is about $50-75 too high, i'm very glad to see a decent am4 board in itx. the B series is just fine for itx as there is no possibility of sli or x-fire in this form factor anyways. now if MSI comes out with its "gaming" series am4 itx, that would make 3 decent itx am4 boards (Asus, Asrock, & maybe MSI). maybe the mobo manufacturers are waiting for the ryzen apu's, as that would put them on a 1:1 with Intel's 7 and 5 series.

Yes - the B350 is pretty good for ITX. A little overkill, due to the extra PCIe lanes, but at least it isn't a total waste like the X370. In case you're not aware, there is a Gigabyte board, too, which seems to be great in every way except board layout. But, the Asrock board layout isn't all that great either. Though I have liked every MSI product I used, they seem to really be losing touch with what consumers actually want. They have way too many full ATX boards when there's a significant demand for smaller ones.

At first, I think it was more a matter of cost. ITX boards are more expensive to manufacture, since they tend to have components soldered on both sides, and they're probably more difficult to design due to the cramped layout. From what I recall during the release day of Ryzen, Asus and MSI had no public plans to support ITX in 2017, while Gigabyte and Asrock were being vague about it, and Biostar was trying to be the first to release one. This leads me to believe some of the bigger companies were probably like "let's wait and see if Ryzen ends up being a success before we spend too much time and money into making this". Gigabyte and Asrock probably thought it was worth spending the money to design their boards early on, but held off on manufacturing in case Ryzen flopped. I get the impression Asus didn't even start designing one until after Ryzen 5. MSI seems totally oblivious to the ITX market.

I second this, just looked at it a little more today and only con about the Gigabyte opposed to this for me is that it lacks a second m.2 slot but honestly, i wouldnt need 2 as ill most likely be saving cash on m.2 drives to get a larger capacity SSD.

the gigabyte is a non starter for me due to horrible layout and thin pcb. plus by the time i fixed up the living room htpc gigabyte will have gone and changed the board. they do that way too much post review... at least for the last three years, and at least in the u.s. so i will buy a gigabyte videocard where any deviation from spec is noticeable, plus their aib's have been pretty good. i kind of think the whole "aorus" brand is a way to move away from the trashed mobo reputation. so when i say three decent itx am4 boards (if MSI gets it together) i was pretty serious.
