And after the latest update, i can't use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out in the Photos app. It's as if they want to remove functionality/usability with the updates...

"These updates will reach you automatically through windows update." No! Thankfully, they won't! Like any smart PC user, I don't have ANYTHING automatic on my PC, especially not Windoze Updates 😀

Nothing could be more true! NEVER let ANYTHING "automatic" as regards to the so-called window$ updates (OS itself or/and any of it's apps/modules like IE/edge etc.).

Nothing could be more true! NEVER let ANYTHING "automatic" as regards to the so-called window$ updates (OS itself or/and any of it's apps/modules like IE/edge etc.).
