After these updates my laptop goes to sleep after about 1 minute of inactivity, no matter what the power saving settings say. This occurs if the laptop has previously been awakened from the standby state during that particular session. So, after a fresh reboot, it won't exhibit that behavior, but if it has been allowed to fall asleep once or more according to the normal settings, it's hopeless to use it again without rebooting.
Apparently there are some fixes to be found, like registry editing, but I haven't yet tried them. Quite disgusting, nonetheless, that MS would ruin people's computers like that. Funnily enough this bug has existed for as long as Win10 has existed, although only these most recent "patches" activated it for me.

so after CIA hacktools leak MS upgrade their backdoors, so no one other than cia could hack?

Messed up my sys tray icons. Randomly showing then disappearing.

No issues. Running smoothly.

And they broke system MPEG-2 detection (note this does not affect 3rd party codecs):
- WMP is broken
- Legit MS DVD player app is broken.
- Patched WMC version for Windows 10 is broken.
This becouse CompPkgSup.dll is broken.

Looks like I was too optimistic. The problem already manifests if the laptop is allowed to turn off the screen.
I hope MS is at least saving a lot of dollars after having fired all of its QA people.

Did M$ ever have any QA? Thought they just dumped a product on to the market and waited for the mass 'beta' testers to find the bugs.

But if they themselves are the vulnerability...
