Haha good one. 😀 The question is what semiconductor(cpu+gpu) maker will buy Microsoft? 😉

Why would that need a performance boost? =p Most of the performance issues are network related. Edit: Nm. That went straight over my head!

Intel doesn't need it anyway. The whole reason they bought it in the first place was to compete in the GPGPU business when they were working on Larrabee.

Phys XBox 😀 Wouldn't mind a update that makes it GPU hardware accelerated under DirectX 12 though if they intend to do anything with this purchase even if it'll probably be more aimed at helping the XBox one out a bit.

How would this affect SteamOS? Or not at all because of licensing?

... building the most complete cloud service.
Game physics being calculated in an MS cloud doesn't sound like a plausible solution unless you live right next to an MS data center.

RIP Havok Will be buried aside Nokia tomb.

Actually I think there are settings for cpu & thread usage, as they exist even for the earliest WoW. I've had pretty good 2.4.3 results when simply letting it go 4294967295 threads & change timing method from 0 to 2 whatever it is. Got minor FPS bump from 30 to 220, and didin't even bother testing where it's sane as I get no crashes. So I think it's very likely that SC2 & D3 also have bunch of options at them, but no one has done as good wiki for them as WoW has.

why not? the data transfer are lot more wide and easy than ever... 10 years ago would you imagine played online in the desert on a korean server while listen to music on the net on a US location?

Nokia's downfall was well before Microsoft bought them...just sayin.

I created a "perfect" world that would never exist, just imagine all games with Havok and Physx with minimal performance penalty, sponsored by MS 😀

Is there anything that Microsoft bought and made it better?

Hmmm lets take a look at that. Skype; NOPE Nokia; NOPE Rare; NOPE Mojang; Arguably Lionhead Studios; NOPE Hotmail; Arguably
