Still locked at those goddamn 1080p. For at least five years now we're stuck with that. It's ok for TV, but on the computer I want more. I sure hope my 1200p monitor will still work for many years to come. These have nearly vanished or got much more expensive than they used to be. 1440p or even 1600p ? Can be had, but cost a fortune.

50hz at 1080p? weak. a couple years ago this would have been a pretty decent buy but now for 280 bucks its a largely useless product except for less than a handful of situations.

It's probably expensive from Thunderbolt support alone.
Besides, it's obviously useless for home users with dedicated VGA, what's with having more than two display ports on a single card in newer generations.
Which is why this product is primarily aimed at business users, where people are most likely won't be lugging around their desktops and using laptops instead.
And here's one other thing : your OS will probably see it as just a single monitor with a very wide width; (probably) no more Eyefinity or Surround monitor setup headaches.
Dunno if it has a bezel compensation setup, though.

I remember the days of the might Matrox video cards they were the best until 3d came into play.

Meh, Matrox has gone multi-monitor way before Eyefinity goes mainstream.
But their 3D capabilities has gone way since TNT cards showed up. :P
(or maybe since Voodoo cards? Can't really remember...)
