I don't really understand the point of this - you can run normal DVD burners off of USB 2.0 with bandwidth to spare. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do a USB 3.0 Blu Ray drive?

USB 3.0 just sounds better than 2.0, looks better on the spec sheet... no real use I guess.

There is more than looking good on the specs sheet, maybe as something to do with the power provided by USB3.0, witch is 900mA vs. 500mA max from USB 2.0 specs.

looking at the (translated) page from Logitech, it looks like that's what it is and i believe states that if you do not have a USB 3.0 port you'll need a power adapter or USB Y Cable sold seperately
I could be wrong as the translation was pretty horrible
