$399 lol, forget about it, Logitech. The only good thing is we might see some g27 going cheap.

Don't understand the article, is it for PC, is it for xbone, who knows???

I feel no remorse about my recent G27 purchase after seeing the price, wheel design of the 920 is kinda ugly too. At Vtech: It's for the Xbone, and presumably PC, there's an Xbone logo on the wheel.

Screw that for the price. Its kinda ugly, and whats the point of the xbox controls like that for the pc version. Xbox live on PC is dead, WOHOOO! Ive had my G25 since 2010, guess Ill be having it for longer. Besides, 1 driver for the g25/g27 that works with Win 8.1 and wasnt written to work with 8.1. I already fear G25 driver support for Windows 10.

The old G25/G27 driver works, and it supports good old Logitech DFP too. I think that the new G920 driver should support all the wheels. Helical gears should be better, but I'm not sure they'll be able to match force feedback from Thrustmaster (and more expensive) wheels. The high G920 price may be caused by Xbox compatibility-related costs.

Logitech always plays fair in driver support for new OS's, Creative anyone?

The G29 was also confirmed with a MSRP of $299.99 this is PC/PS3/PS4 compatible. Also neither the G29 or G920 ship with a shifter that is $59.99 IIRC.

Thanks for these news. I think I'll stay with DFP for a while. If G29 delivers, it might be a viable upgrade option, but will it be as good as T300 and T500? G25 and G27 are really cool wheels, but despite having tighter dead zone than the old DFP, it's still present, which makes them not as immersive as belt-driven ones. If they developed some kind of mechanism that would tighten the gears or they used well-matched metal ones, then perhaps the effect would be even better than with a belt.

That there is a definately hell no for purchase from me. All these wheels today are shipping with no shifter. Its becoming like real cars in america where they are selling cars now with no manual option. I literally only use sissy shifters when required to by a game.

And whats the gain of a manual? Zero. It shifts slower, slower top speed and less efficient. No one outside the US worrys about manual. I dont know any serious race car that doesnt have a sequential/auto/automated (manual) transmission. You normally downshift before a corner and upshift midcorner/corner exit. You think you can hold on to the steering wheel with one hand while fully accelerating?? And for deadzone: almost all cars that can go past 120mph will have that, so just "holding" the steering wheel will not result in any car movement. One reason i prefer audi/vw over MB or BMW, which tend to have a bit more "play" (havent driven any of the newer electrical systems which allow "adjustments" based on speed etc.), so this actually "matches" the real world. As long as the FF is good, i willget it..

Do you actually know anything about driving a car? Jeez...

Both the G29 and G920 are priced the same ($500 CAD). The only difference is the G920 is for the Xbox One and PC, where as the G29 is only for the PS4/PS3. The shifter is an extra $60 CAD. Is it just me or are these just rebranded G27's with console buttons on the wheel and updated drivers? The G27 has helical gears, the shifter looks to be the same one included with the G27, and the pedals also look to be the same as G27. Maybe they finally did upgrade the brake feel? I was hoping for a new, upgraded design, not a rehash for the console bitches.

G29 works with PC as well. At least that is what I've been reading.

From ArsT: Update: Contrary to earlier information provided by Logitech, the company has now confirmed that the G29 will in fact support PC in addition to PS4 and PS3. Ars apologises for the confusion.

The thing is, it all comes down to personal preference. While racing with a sequential gearbox is more efficient, it's also less fun for those who learned to drive that way.

Really expensive ! don't come with the shifter and the internals seems to be exactly the same of the G27. :3eyes:
