This one look like the logitech G502 with the lower spec i guess 🙂

Right-handed only? No thanks.

I think I'm getting old, because all this "gaming grade" hardware is starting to look way too flashy if not outright gaudy to me.

and what about the USB polling rate? A 1 ms mouse is nice, but if the USB port only polls with 8, what good does that do? Or am I missing something?

One left-handed friend of mine simply gave up and started using the mouse with right hand, and after some time he was good enough to score quite a lot of frags in shooters. However it depends on person - if one is strictly one-handed or has some ambidextrous predispositions. Sooo What's the real difference between G402 and G502? I can see some remarks about 4k vs 12k dpi... I use 4k anyway. Other thing appears to be the metal wheel. While $60 is still something, it looks like a really good price for such mouse.

It says that's 1 ms in the article. Honestly I'm kinda disappointed with this. All I wanted was a G502 without the stupid sniper button and maybe no weights and stuff.

"inches per second"? Hah! How scientific.

You mean the design? This one looks very mild to me.

After my Mamba, never going back to a wired mouse.

Is this the same sensor as the G502 Proteus Core or is it something entirely different?

USB ports are set at 1000Hz when a 1000Hz mouse polling rate is used.

This is the same sensor as the g100s + fusion engine. Disappointed, really.

Yah. Thats what USB 1.0 can do. USB low and full speed devices (1.0 and 1.1) HID spec says that it can poll every 1ms. USB high speed (2.0) HID spec says that device is allowed to set polling rate to 125µs. So it's not going to be over 1ms. It's a 32-bit ARM CPU, not all of those have USB 2.0 compatibility out of the box and need extra hardware to run USB 2.0 (external clock), but that 1ms is not going to be a problem. I dont think that they added any extra hardware there if sensor is 1ms.

If it's using the same sensor as a few of those other Logitech mice, those fancy features are pretty useless.

Agreed. IMO, steelseries does it right. Good ergonomics, good performance, no fast&furious. -scheherazade

wonder if it has tilt wheel left/right click
data/avatar/default/avatar16.webp
It doesnt. The wheel is actually good unlike the G502 wheel. The gyroscope/accelerometer is nice, but the fact that it tracks inconsistently during the transition between sensor and accelerometer makes this mouse a bad choice for me. I don't want a sniper button either. I am gonna pass on this mouse.

I dont get why tilt wheel is not on ALL gaming mouses i smell conspiracy. They do it cause they want you to get the more expensive mouse
