For anyone who hasn't tried Romer-G switches, I highly recommend them. IMO they're the best all-arounders by straight up winning in every category unless having no tactile feedback is your thing, personally that would annoy me. They're super weird the first time you feel them, but it took me all of 5 minutes to get used to them. The only real downside is that they're proprietary, including key caps, so you'd have to get them from Logitech. The bright side of that is... they're Logitech, getting a replacement set from them is no problem.

Using a Cherry Strait, affordable, silent & scissor mech FTW :P

This. I love my G710+ the only thing i find myself wanting is RGB - i know its meaningless, but i have a full Logitech peripheral setup and the keyboard is the oldest part of it, and therefore does not support RGB RIP colour scheme! 🙁

This is tournament version of G810 that I have. What I don't like about Omron B3K switches is that they have shorter travel distance. Around 0,7-0,8 mm shorter than Cherry MX switches. Some 3,7-3,8 mm to 4,4-4,5 mm. Together with tactile bump it just doesn't feel deep enough as mechanical. If you really want to feel mechanical swich you better go with linear Red or with clicky Blue. Omron should restore linear and clicky versions. There is still plenty of stuff to improve in future models. Model with detachable numpad that can be attached at both side, like ROG Claymore. If you are less than 180 cm and playing with low sensitivity you hitting your keyboard quite often. But still I use numpad very often, so I need it. Skeleton design would make it look modern. Metal body. Linear switches.

G710+ has migrated from my home and become my work keyboard. Over the years I've had about 5 keys break on me and the LED on the space bar key now flickers on and off but still going strong after getting some replacement key caps. The keys are and always have been prone to cracking unfortunately due to cheap plastic used. Fortunately the keys started going before the warranty ran out and Logitech sent me an Orion Spark as a replacement (Logitech did not provide replacement keycaps at this point in time and instead replaced the whole board.. without asking for the original back) the Orion spark was then sold in exchange for a Corsair K70 RGB. This then failed to deliver the 16 million color transition advertised and corsair replaced it with a K70 Lux a year later. So in my book top marks for customer service for both Logitech and Corsair. I have to say the Corsair wins out on build quality and looks tho.

My G710+ still looks brand new, just the Wristrest has a little wear. Not sure how people manage to break PC equipment.

I got mine literally the day they came out directly from Logitech pre-order so perhaps they ironed out issues after the initial batch. Also pre-ordered a G710+ for my wife and she also has had about 4 keys break on hers. It's not always "peoples" fault when things break you know.

I just want a sweet wireless keyboard just like the G602 is for the mice :P

A few of my key caps broke on my 710+. When the first one broke about a year ago, I contacted Logitech and they sent me the entire keyboard worth of caps. A few of them broke since, about 6 in total but no real issues since I have plenty to replace them with. I'm rocking Q instead of T because T broke twice lol

I don't care for the G- Romer switch. I thought Omron made clicky mouse switches? Why wouldn't Logitech have Omron make clicky switches also to give us options? That's like Corsair going with only reds. Razer/Corsair gave us options. Why wouldn't Logitech do the same thing. It makes no sense.

Give me membrane all day long, Im not one of those people who require a audio Q to tell me i have just pressed a key. All it serves to do is irritate the people around me over some strange obsession about making noise. Hope mechanical fad dies out sooner than latter.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

I think Logitech is trying to become more self reliant. G102 or G203 sensor is also not from Avago and apparently a joint venture with a new company. If they succeed, they could very well no longer have to deal with patents, suppliers, ... all that much.

That's probably true, but still, they should offer 2 more switch types. Of course that my Opinion..

I have had my G710+ for about 3 years, the only thing that seems to be showing any sign of wear is the "a" keycap looking a little scraped. Truth be told i have no idea how that happened, but i have 2 cats - my guess is they were playing around my computer desk and probably scratched it up whilst running over it or something similar. everything else on the keyboard works like new. I have been wondering about the Orion spark and the Romer-G switches, they had mixed reviews at first but now people are really loving them. perhaps it will be my next keyboard.
