What is the point of these ridiculously over priced consumer grade wireless "routers"? I mean you pay what it would cost to buy comercial equipment that works 100x better. I've returned 2 Asus routers, and 1 Netgear router in the last month. All of them the latest AC generation. Not one of them was able to best the throughput of my draft N RT-N16. Not to mention the range was no better, and in some cases with the RT-AC56U the throughput was even worse than the N16. I ended up buying a Ruckus Wireless commercial access point and I'm going to build a pfsense box to use as the router.
