i guess it will end as the Divx... everyone have used it then it deseapear from the light due to licence "moneytisation"... (the company still exist btw)

meh, h264 is still good for me. I think it would handle 4k in acceptable quality. And since bandwidth and space are no problems in these days, good luck in getting those licence fees 😀. 4k is far away from regular usage anyway.

That's the point isn't it? UHD 4K (not 4K) shouldn't be.
