Hell yes! finally an IPS ultrawide with 144hz, i've owned a MVA ultrawide with 144hz but the motionblur and smearing destroyed the image completely in motion. I've been back to 16:9 for a while, but i want to get back to 21:9. Shame i can't afford a 1440p ultrawide, after owning my first 1440p monitor i love it but i just can't move on from ultrawide. EDIT: Wow, i looked up the price of this thing, it's only 699 euro for pre-order, cheaper then the other brands that cost 700+ but with MVA panel.

LG
:)
34inch 144hz!
😱
UltraWide Monitor based on an IPS panel
2560 x 1080
😡
The monitor supports Adaptive-Sync meaning AMD users can run FreeSync variable refresh rate technology

Too many AMD Freesync monitors, but they'll probably release a gsync model later on. I don't think i've seen a single LG monitor with Gsync support though.

34" @1080, 27" @8k; what is going on, on the head of panel makers?

Ah thank you 🙂 finally someone else's that know the truth about VA panels and someone with more guru3d cred than me. I had an Acer Z35 for exactly 40min, the time to realize VA panels gave an unfixable insane amount of purple smears 😛uke2: Like you I do miss the wideness of it tough I briefly tested it with alien isolation and it was amazingly immersive. G-sync is pure marketing for me, once you tried ULMB that's the only thing you'll want, everytime I play a 100fps game with ULMB I wonder if the 3d artists have ever seen their own work as clearly as that or if they think that a blurry mess is the only thing possible ?! it makes me sad to think they most certainly do 🙁 On my Asus VG278H I can clearly see and read street names here : http://testufo.com/#test=photo&photo=toronto-map.png&pps=1920&pursuit=0&height=0 if you can't with g-sync freesync then know that you could have better 😉 1ms motion blur reduction http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/lg_38uc99.htm This is a new feature LG are advertising on some of their screens now, the so-called "1ms Motion Blur Reduction" mode. We can confirm that on the LG 38UC99 this is in fact an added strobed backlight feature, designed to help reduce perceived motion blur in practice. Our in depth article about Blur Reduction Backlights talks more about these methods and how they help reduce motion blur for the user, so it's well worth having a read of that if this principle is new to you. This strobed backlight on the 38UC99 is not linked specifically to AMD FreeSync (like ULMB is linked to NVIDIA G-sync) and we're pleased to confirm you can use this feature from NVIDIA cards as well as AMD. YES 🙂 it seems to have an ULMB clone !!! Can I finally change my old Asus VG278H ? oh boy I need one now ! my ULMB is perfect but the grey...oops sorry the black is really awful makes horror-dark games like DOOM look meh p.s. yes the 1080p made the pixels look a bit blurry on my ex-Z35, but as I said once you've seen ULMB you will never want to go back and ULMB requires a constant 100fps to work well

lol fail monitor. Not sure who would buy this for 144hz @ 1080p..
data/avatar/default/avatar30.webp
apparently they have troubles having a fast refresh speed + 1440 that's probably why also the ulmb-clone only works in 120Hz mode and you need 100+fps for it to work so in 1440 most users def wouldn't If 60-75Hz is okay for you you're not the target audience of this monitor. Let's say I kinda work in an industry, I learned one thing consumers don't get what they imagine...you are sold what is technically possible to do. If there are no fast 1440 screens all over the market right now is because they can't make them, or not without and unbearable low yield it's as simple as that. There is no choice to be had between those or a 1440 screen, it's either that or nothing. When they can reliably make them don't worry everyone will know. btw we don't hear about OLED monitors and maybe never will because they also have troubles with changing/high Hz from what I read.

Lol... That res... Failsauce. Same crap as Curved at 16:9 Where are the 4K 120hz 32+" screens?
