I like the 32 inch model, that looks very nice for the $'s
Display HDR 1000...that's pretty punchy.

i'm sure these will all be very nice as LG is very consistent.
but what the freaky frack with those MSRPs?
LG is stepping on their own product line with these mythical prices that do not reflect the market or the competition. if they were going for the refresh market, they're lagging 😎. if they're going for the DCPi market, they're not there, if they're going for the mini-led market that could explain the price of the top model w/ white mini-leds FALD, but no mention of that.
in the meantime one could look at QD-OLED, OLED or full sized (modern) TV as a monitor at those prices

I like the look of this one from Viewsonic:

Still no mini-LED models from LG...

"brightness 450 cd / m2, viewing angle horizontal / vertical 178 °, high dynamic range VESA Display HDR 1000."
No, things don't work like that. With 450cd/m2 its HDR450 (if that even existed). Just because it's able to take HDR1000 signal and compress it into 450cd/m2 doesn't make it HDR 1000 display. I can do that with any monitor, in fact, YouTube does that all the time.

That panel is fast too, but has contrast >1000:1: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g3223q
Nano IPS usually has poor 700-800:1, so they better improve on this...

I wish every single company would stop advertising 1ms as they've been doing for the last decade. There needs to be an industry standard that gives us some real numbers instead of BS.

that is a good place to start for the bones/HDR value.
ok thanks - I think it was the way the post was situated and structured, it sort of felt like you were replying to someone.
I do like that Dell monitor, for the money, which is really what monitors are about these days: what are you getting for the money?
If were are to look at what is avaliable, the moment you go into the HDR 1000, you tend to find this is where you broach the $1,000 segment of the market, so, to have monitors 22H2 getting below this number, is an encouraging sign.
The monitor from Dell has very high build quality and is an HDR monitor, yet, as it is HDR 600, it hits roughly that number in bones, which I think is perfectly fine, them it gets an automatic 'tick' from me in recommending it.
