"IPS HDR" sounds like "VGA 1080p" 🙂

Stand is awful and very unpractical.

Not really. I have the 32UD99 version, the stand is very similar, and i have no problems with it. Also this look like a very good version for whoever want's to spend a bit less money, $627 vs $999.

Never going back to 60hz no matter what other features the monitor offers

I could care less about the refreshrate since sample and hold and pixel response times still hold back motion blur on 100+hz monitors by a big margin. But really, how is a terrible IPS panel with 1000:1 contrast (It's probably more like 800:1) going to support HDR? That's ludicrous. It might have a wider color gamut and 10-bit depth, but at that point you might as well just market it as adobe rgb compatible. Why won't the industry bother trying to actually improve display technology instead of band-aids and gimmicks.
