It makes sense on all ultrawide monitors. On my 34" 1500r curve is just about right.

On 21:9 I would prefer no curve personally but I can totally understand why would someone prefer curved ! Where I do not get it at all is on 16:9 27'' !

Is this FALD and how many zones? Also, with these monitors is there a way to play a game and also have a stream or video running on the outer edges of the monitor?

If you run windowed your game for a lot of the games you have no issue sizing the window on 2/3 of the screen , and depending on the application you can write a script to resize it and move the window to the position you like and make the windows bar and borders disappear with auto hotkey I used it to force borderless window on older apps that do not support it ! The newer games are more hit or miss since they have things more locked down !

Seems like monitor makers are taking ideas from GPU makers. Mid range bang for buck monitors are dead. It's all generic 100-200€ 1080p monitors or if you want flagship features prepare to pay 1000€+ for absurdly huge monitor. There is no middle ground where you would still get flagship features at a modest price and something like 27" size. I already have a 4K 120Hz TV, I don't need almost TV sized monitor.

ROFL. So play on your 16:9 TV or any crappy 16:9 monitor. 21:9+ has been the future. 99% of the 34+ ultrawides are less then $700. 32:9 and 32:9 are what are pricey. Dont wanna pay, then dont play. 27 inch is so 2010. This is designed for high end and yet your crying about something not high end. Hilariously ironic.

Why so triggered? You didn't even reply to any of my points, just went on a random unhinged rant. Any LG OLED poops all over your 34+ ultrawide or superultraduperwide nonsense with terrible contrast ratio and light bleeds. You make fun of 16:9 TVs (like it's a bad thing), when TVs are a decade ahead of monitor makers in panel quality, HDR quality, brightness etc. Have fun paying 1000-1500 for your LCD monitor that has "gaming" in its name and using decades old LCD tech.
