"The product is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified" ... the moment I stopped reading. And yes, I am aware that implementing some proper HDR is expensive (via mini-led or OLED), but launching a new 4K monitor in 2023 with lame fake "HDR" 400 is just terrible. And for $799 ... what a joke. Especially when their own OLED TVs with amazing colors and contrast and responsiveness do 4K 120Hz and cost about the same or just slightly higher.

So did I, HDR 400 is pointless and has been a long criticised spec, my Asus PG35VQ Ultrawide has HDR 1000 and it's an 'out of date' 2020 design. Is anything less than HDR 1000 worthwhile in 2023? The Samsung G7 has HDR 2000 in its specs although I don't believe this monitor achieves that HDR 2000?

I could honestly deal with it being only HDR400 but not for that price. Maybe for half of those 800$, or maybe even less than half.
