Might want to change that to "Owl" instead of Horned "Own". 😉 Personally it's nice to have a change in naming. I can't remember the last animal themed CPU/APUs.

So, we ever going to see a vertically mounted cpu socket again? Yes, the cpu was horizontally mounted on the "daughter" card that was vertically mounted on the board.

Jaguar was AMD's last animal themed APU to my knowledge.

I thought April was still a ways off.......?! What I do not understand is how this company can still keep on putting out garbage (CPU's/APU's) that do not wholly deliver on their promises.... I've been nothing but upset with AMD's sorry performance in comparison to the competition. Lackluster performance all around and they are still spewing "new ****e" down the pipeline. I'm done for a long time with this company until something that is a game changer comes along. I mean.......their roadmap says they are going up against Intels newest CPU's with what they are going to bring out beginning of next year.....?! What kind of delayed garbage is this?! More like "grey bush" when they actually launch their CPU's!!

I must have not had my coffee yet when I posted that. I may have had a senior moment and not remembered Thunderbird (16 years ago) but I should definitely have remembered the Bobcat, Jaguar etc. APUs. I owned a Bobcat APU and had 2-3 others pass through here as side jobs/projects for family/friends.
