Optane is still alive 🙂 900p is 350 MB/s 4k random read @ qd=1. Optane 5800x is 400+ 🙂 Optane P5811X is coming...

That was the entire point behind the first generation product, but I never saw any drives hit retail. They seem to have only aimed at enterprise much like where Optane ended up. It's a big improvement over standard NAND. https://www.storagereview.com/review/dapustor-x2900p-scm-ssd-review
