An image of the reported GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, more precisely an Asus GeForce RTX 3090 Ti TUF Gaming model, has been uploaded online by the Chinese news outlet IT Home (via HXL) and has gone viral. ...

Lol good one. Shall be interesting to see if the faster memory actually makes a note worthy difference for performance (5% or more), or if it's more like 2-3 %.

They misspelled "Mining Card" on the box.

The "Ti" looks weird, a little crooked or maybe misaligned, idk, or maybe it just my eyes...

A photo, is as close as most of us will get to this card.

I really wish they'd stop putting cheaper coolers on premium chips like this. Hard enough trying to get stock of a Strix.

Is it really worth the price premium and the +100 watts for most likely 2+5% increase ? I guess the answer is yes for the market it is designed for.

Real or fake, we will only see them in picture 🙂 lol

Yeah I'd take the Strix hands down, better pcb, greater limit on the bios, option of more power to the board with the extra 8-pin.
okay, then get it.but how does it make TUF inadequate I have no idea.

The cooler itself isn't inadequate. It's a niche product aimed at a niche market, when spending that much I just don't see why you'd be looking at saving a small amount. Also don't need so many variants for a product people want the best of. Take Evga for example, I knew a few people waiting to grab their FTW3 when the XC was in stock. I don't know it just doesn't make sense for that market to me but I suppose they wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't a market for it.

yes but why are you dismissing tuf when it's crazy good compared to strix if we consider the other one costs a huge premium and only performs marginally better. i don't need you to tell me stories about evga if we're discussing tuf. what we don't need is paying another 100-200 bucks for a cooler that is basically same performance.

Well my point is mainly this, if someone is worried about paying a huge premium when something only performs marginally better than that person isn't really the target audience for the 3090/Ti.

yeah but realistically, tuf is a great option so why dismiss something that is very good makes zero sense i know 3090 owners piss on other peasants, but still 😀

Haha, it makes perfect sense for other chips, I have a 3060Ti TUF in my partners PC 😉 it's a little beast.

yeah I wanted it myself, but thankfully gigabyte has made a cheapo with a really, really good cooler this round.so not even tuf was necessary for me.

Its still very limited in connectivity,it has pcie3 for gpus and pcie2 for nvme off pch.b660 has pcie5 and pcie4,plus better vrm.not even close to comparable. And better boards come with features like front USB c connector or bios flash button

Is that off the back of a lorry suspicious?

Exactly - you are paying a 1000+ usd premium vs a 3080 for 10 to 15% more performance... and if you are paying that, why wouldn't you pay 300 usd more for an additional 5% performance you get with a strix.
