Neat & won't take up much space but no subwoofer = no low bass. And the $449 price will hopefully be reduced soon as you can buy the Samsung Q990B for £900 which has a 122cms soundbar, wireless sub & two rear speakers. If I didn't use Sony WH1000XM5 Bluetooth headphones for gaming (keep the neighbours sweet) I'd probably buy Razer's gaming soundbar + sub over the Creative one. Sir Hilbert, any chance you could do a Creative v Razer speaker review?

I paid $600 for a refurb Samsung Q910B (which is a Q990B soundbar with the surround and sub from the Q750B instead of the new Atmos ones) last year when my receiver died. Thing absolutely rocks, and sounds every bit as good as my ~1995 floor standing Yamaha mains and Polk center/surrounds/sub but takes up a tiny amount of space on the wall under the TV and on the bookshelves in the back of the room, plus no wires from the front of the room for the sub and surrounds. As long as you stay away from the 600/700 series, I would recommend Samsung soundbars all day.

I'm loving my Q990B and in Surround it reproduces my 5.1 music Blurays very nicely. The Q990B sub is well controlled, stops & starts when it ought to and produces tight but well extended bass. And you're right, the lack of wires for the sub & rear speakers is a huge plus.

Creative is outta its mind pricing the soundbar at 450USD, and it doesn't have a sub for those lows that adds punch to explosions and such. At that price, you can snag a pretty good soundbar with a sub. Right now, I'm using an LG soundbar on my 2nd rig, and a Philips Fidelio soundbar on my main rig, great for gaming/movies/music where space is a constraint.

With that price the drivers better be covered in gold!

We talking system drivers for it or the drivers in the soundbar, that later has always been better 🙄
