I see that they "forgot" to specify db level for that fan.
30mm fans are pretty noisy at full speed and kind of useless at low speed - on another site the rated speed is also specified:3500-6500 RPM±10% (MAX) - you can make a fan curve in bios but I don't know how much better it will go vs a fanless design at low fan speed.
Also in the pictures one the fan screws seems loose??? while the fan is running and the other one is not straight - I don't know what to think about build quality if these are their presentation images - they should be more careful.
And I thought that after the short return of the chipset fan for the X570 we will not see another fan besides case, gpu and radiators...

I would so much rather just get one of the x16 cards with 4 M.2 slots. You get so much more performance, more total storage capacity (and if you need enough speed to warrant a giant active-cooled heatsink, you're probably going to need the capacity to match), and less noise.

this is a good product
but it goes to show how ridiculous the claims of pcie 5.0 mobo "compatibility" are
small volume drives don't generate nearly as much heat so the aibs are expecting only 500gb/1tb m.2 drives by the basis of heatsink provided.
only a very few boards have the thermal capacity to handle 2 or 4tb drives w/o throttling. and those boards typically have heatpipes to very beefy vrm heatsinks or active fans.
the only reason folks aren't p.o.'ed by this is the sky high price limiting the adoption rate as well as the simple fact pcie 5.0 is too much too soon

So..... we pull the heat off the back of the graphics card, push it through the SSD heatsink and into the CPU cooler.....yep, seems like an effective design.....
Guess I'll stick with PCIe 3 SSDs to I don't have to attach a ridiculous cooler to something else.
