MSI Gaming M7 is beautiful. Also, are those THREE (3) M2 slots?! The Gigabyte AORUS Gaming-9 looks pretty but I'm a bit wary about that many uncovered LED lights. Whilst they look cool and all, if one blows out, it will be sorely noticeable. I'd buy that MSI M7 (M9 will probably come out sooner or later) but I already have a 5960x on an Asus Rampage V Edition 10 board (and I also have an original MSI Godlike Gaming, a Godlike Gaming Carbon, and an MSI Xpower X99). I really should stop collecting X99 boards... except every time I buy one, something else comes out which looks awesome, lol.

Those Aorus boards are butt-ugly. Too many LED's and colors from the 1980's.

Some nice looking boards. Not too sure about those PCI/E label thingies on some of the MSI units though. Agree on the Aorus boards being, well, not so good looking. So hard to find a board with e PCIx1 slot as the top most slot. I run SLI and I greatly prefer my soundcard to be at the very top. Any boards out there for Z170/X99 that have comparative/better sound than the Creative Z?

I wish everything wasn't focused on rgb or LEDs of any sort. I don't need and surely dont want my computer to be brighter and/or more colorful than my monitor. I really just want a z270 version of the asrock z170m OC micro atx board. I'd prefer it all black or black and white as it looks cleaner than yellow. That memory oc.

While I agree, I'll take whatever Z270 is the most full-featured and reliable for the price, and gladly stuff it into a black, window-less case. RGB is the stuff of tacky prebuilts.
