Imagine that picture with some of the latest games and see how one core is doing all the work while rest idle. Ah the bliss.
A lot of things, and with DX12/Vulkan almost all things, in a game can be parallelized. There has to be some synchronization at a point though, and there would be the bottleneck.

I know 😀 it's just still a norm. that a lot of games do not use more then one core effectively.

I haven't noticed any of the games that I recently play, to be honest. It seems to me that most games from The Witcher 3 and on, have nailed this down. Or should I say past Dying Light.

If only I could overclock 2 of them babies to 4.2 ghz I would be a happy CG artist. Lets see thats, 64 cores times 4.2ghz.....268 GHZ of rendering power compared to my weak 18 GHZ machine. Yeah that will save me some serous time at work even if I cant overclock.
