Intel doesn't have to do anything else right now because AMD is not challenging them. When AMD released it's first Bulldoser CPUs they were later than projected and underwhelming upon initial release. Now Intel has an additional 3 generations of progress and AMD has nothing to counter with. Innovation has stagnated due to lack of competition.

Yep I hate this. Hopefully AMD's recent partnership with SAMSUNG to use their 20nm fab factory will help give AMD a boost they need to compete with Intel.
