Making wired connections obsolete? Yeah right, I've heard that one before. It's going to be faster, but only if you have 3 WiFi access points which have enough power to process 40gbit/s and can simultaneously transmit to a single device which has 12 WiFi antennas/channels and have direct line of sight of each other within the same room - at which point it would be cheaper, easier and more reliable to just run a network cable! Don't get me wrong, progress is progress and it's all good, but having jumped to WiFi 6 from 5 and realising that the other 10+ devices on my network prevent my pc from actually utilising the extra speeds, it's going to be a hell of a long time before WiFi 7 offers better speed.

Consoles will kill PC Gaming back when PS4 was released. Yeahhh 😀 WiFi7 will make Wired obsolete , yeah if you lock yourself in a basement that is EMI free and you hug the Access Point. Not even to mention the typical small add up to latency.SFP+ for the win.If big data is not using wireless you shouldn't also for more critical devices than your phone.

Wifi 7 has simultaneous multi-band going for it, not only for the bandwidth, but especially for latency and jitter. Also taking into consideration that the 6 GHz band will be mostly empty (unless you have Wifi 6E devices), it'll be a "Wifi 7-only" band, which should be nice.

How about including 10 Gbps ethernet on more motherboards instead?
