So far its been dead in the water except for Apple and niche video backup stations. The insanely high cost for the cables aren't helping its case at all. USB is just to ubiquitous at this point.

Also back when Thunderbolt1 was out I only heard of it being on a few non Apple computers after the Apple exclusivity expired. Those were certain Dell Laptops. I agree that since TB1 hasn't caught on on standard PCs and just Apple PCs I dont see TB2 being popular at all.

Then Certain gigabyte motherboards also had Thunderbolt as well.

cost need to come down a lot
