Considering traditional "arrow" in corner, it goes into Socket! 😀 Having all GPU related "onboard" under IHS can mean that it will sit on card that provides everything else like: PCIe connection, power, displays, ...

Here's to hoping for some serious GPU competition in the market. Alleviate some of them high ass price points as of late.

Aye - if it's shit - no problem.... don't buy it. If it's good... we can only benefit.

So big, so expensive. Why you have to do this Intel? Smaller is better! Not what she said, I know, but for tech it is!

Delid Mate 3 incoming..hold my beer this is GPU...but but but GPU from Intel o_O

Nvidia / AMD relationship needs this 3rd wheel. A lover's triangle will be far more interesting.

Requires just one nuclear power station!

I see you eating alone with one egg.... Intel guys do not have that problem.
I'm sorry, but can you pass me a bit of that salt you got piled up in there?

It's too bad, but Intel is not going to be competing with either AMD or nVidia in the discrete GPU (performance/feature) space in the foreseeable future. Side note: Raja looks to have gone 100% white-haired since AMD...he almost looks "kidnapped" with the dumb and senseless face mask on. He was salt & pepper headed at AMD, IIRC. "The strain, boss, the strain!"....;) This goes all the way back to Larrabee, which was exaggerated so far out of proportion to what it was that Intel canceled all of it--no chance of meeting the ridiculous expectations set for it by much of the "tech punditry". At least we aren't seeing barrels full of hyper hype about this, which gives me hope that something will be launched, eventually.

Pure marketing. all this is doing in reality is to tout the performance of the IGP in gen 10 cpu's hitting the market. plus as most of us realize, gen 1 gpu's are problematic...even from Nvidia and the former ATI.

well who knows, zen1 made such a difference even if it wasnt up to intel's single threaded speeds thanks to its flexibility, a similar thing could happen here with this multi die approach since now we not only have to deal with rasterization but also raytracing and AI upscaling

big!=expensive. This is basically the GPU equivalent of Threadripper, which is very cheap for what you're getting. Only Intel's CPU division seems to be totally lost. They know they have no influence in the GPU market so unless they expect to fail, they need to price this competitively based on early impressions.

What about the larabee thing that pissed me off was that game and game engine they bought out that was originally made by like 1 or 2 guys. It looked so damn good and they just canned it with larabee and I think guy tried to get it back but they didn't want to sell it or whatever, bullshit.

I do agree. But we generally do not know all things which sit under IHS. It is really big even for 4 chiplets to sit there with HBMe. Maybe they are not huge and there's other stuff there too.

larrabee didn't really get "cancelled" it got repurposed, Xeon phi is the end result of larabee, The early dev boards were basically just larrabee cards.
