I wonder what the capacity of those new 64 layer drives are. Also I believe the more layers, the faster the drive(since in theory each layer can be read simultaneously) so this could be pushing record books if it's on an PCIe 3.0 x8 or 16 connection. x4 is almost tapped out (3.94 GB/sec) with a 960, so something almost twice as fast would need more lanes. Or Intel might just make a super big 600p 🙂 j/k

Well we don't need faster sequential read/writes. I want to see a major improvement in small file operations since general use for consumers will be largely affected there. If we had 4gb/s 4k file read/write OS bootup would be instantaneous.
