Worthless information. It does not have point of reference for Tau time scope. If Tau time is within 60s cycle. Then CPU will be willing to spend 56s out of 60s in given power state. What if Tau state is interrupted for 1 second after 20s of use and then use resumes? Does Tau timer reset/subtract 1s/stays same during that 1s when Tau is not active? They did not provide only important information and that's under what conditions Tau time is increased.

They didn't provide the inf because it's rather irrelevant, as most motherboards run at PL2 all the time. And yes, if the load on the CPU drops for 1 sec, and then resumes, it's back to PL2 for the full duration.

Sooooo now one needs to get a bunch of boards from everybody so we can test the Tau on them. I would love to see who has the better performing board for a longer period of time.

There is no way that the P2 state will be sustained when the CPU reaches a predetermined temperature. I don't care if they indicate that it will run for 56 seconds, it will fall back to the 125W settings as soon as this temperature is reached. Can you image if you install a CPU heat sink that is only rated for 125W. Does that mean that when the CPU starts to put out 250W it will run for 56 seconds? No it will not! It will all be bound by the cooling solution that you have used for the CPU. You better have a very good power supply to handle the increase in current and heat produce when the CPU P2 state activates.
