Laptop CPUs please. Bring back the MX cpus. My 4940MX takes too much voltage 🙁. No more soldered garbage.

OK is it me, or does it seem like the Hardware companies are realizing that since the market on PC Hardware is not growing at the rate they expected, they they decided to milk it in return? If so the worse that can happen is I save up the money I would otherwise spend every 6 months and spend 4 times as much every 2 years, AKA 600 vs 2400. They still make their money just not as fast as they would hope so. I wonder if planned obsolescence is going to play a role in their next game? Or somehow forcing Software Makers to make us buy the new crap that is not as good as we would want it to be.

I´m more excited about AMD´s new Zen CPU than Intel´s new CPUs... C´mon AMD, show us something amazing! Or not...

6700k looks tasty now just gota wait for the mobo and the cpu to be available to see prices
Well my i7 950 is rated at 130W TDP so this is still more powerful and has less heat/power draw so I'm in for the i7 6700K.
dito my cpu is rated at that too that 6700k look might tasty and lower tdp too, and that 35 watt i really wana see what kind performance they pull

What? Telling all buyers to overlock? That makes no sense it's designed to operate at up to 95W TDP.
I was just thinking, comparing the K and non-K, that there would be headroom inside the 95W for overclocking.

Intel Quadcore = Intel Profit. :3eyes: Oh well, I guess it means another small bump. Guess it would be good for OEM machines though.

Intel are probably just looking to make money here, I doubt we'll see CPU's with more cores from Intel until windows 10 is released and even then I think it will take a year or two before Windows 10 becomes mainstream and it's not like Intel are under threat from AMD so I don't blame them, it's real a shame tho I'd quite happily give my money for a six or eight core chip on 1150 socket, socket 2011 is just too expensive right now when you factor in the cost of DDR4, really we need a middle ground here.

Only interested in 6 and 8 core... are there even going to be Skylake 6 and 8?

Ide imagin intel will keep 6 and 8 cores exclusive to 2011 socket to really milk the people willing to buy them.

I am sure later in the year there will be a 6 and maybe even an 8 core version. give it a 6770k or 6790k. And is it just me or does it seem like its always the chinese who are leaking stuff out onto the interwebs?

Because most tech companies have production line and what not in China.

Most likely this because of the cheap labor costs over there and as such they will be the first to see them.

It will be interesting to see the benchmarks but it doesn't really look like they will be worth upgrading to from a newly built (within the past year) i5/i7 desktop.

Interesting video but I don't think you'd be seeing that big a difference between my 2500k and these processors the Q6600 is really ancient.

Idk, i still think they should've just skipped Broadwell and went straight to Skylake. Even this dosnt look so impressive i wonder who wants Broadwell chip with lower clocks and less L3 than Haswell.

I guess not and I agree the Q6600 is pretty old now, but for people like myself who are running the first gen i7's these chips look pretty good in base clock speed increase and lower wattage/heat. Again with one of these Skylakes I intend to keep it for a good while just like my i7 950.

Yet another quad core... what a disappointment!

Why not? Games are not using more than 4 cores anyway (i5 being enough for gaming this days). Higher per-core performance, higher core clock and more efficient cores it should beat any previous generation 6 cores. For enthusiasts there is always 'Extreme' variant.
