That must mean Intel is telling all buyers to overclock the CPU straightaway. These chips look massively unexciting based on this "info".

I guess some of that TDP depends on the size of the IGP as well.

Well my i7 950 is rated at 130W TDP so this is still more powerful and has less heat/power draw so I'm in for the i7 6700K.

What? Telling all buyers to overlock? That makes no sense it's designed to operate at up to 95W TDP. Unexciting? More TDP headroom, significant retooling (2nd gen 14nm core so twice the improvements since Broadwell was never released for desktop) and also 64MB of integrated L4 eDRAM with GT4e graphics? This is the best thing to come out since Sandy Bridge.

I hope they will pack something interesting, Sandy Bridge was the last exciting thing.

that TDP is product of those 4ghz default frequency nothing specially significant there IMO, only that maybe it will be better designed to take more OC but... considering possible price probably will be quite meh for 90% of the buyers

Well we still have some time to wait, non-interesting Broadwell is coming first, just the time to save up for Skylake. This naming-scheme really reminds me of Sandy.

Intel is competing vs itself, pretty much like nvidia nowdays. I hope to see something WOW effect, but ya know..

I wonder when i5 and i7 would have 6-core as standard, at $250. Intel still wants to suck more money by 3-5% improvement every year. AMD it's far below (on CPUs). AMD will do 16-core CPU and I'm pretty sure it will be slower than i5 Skylake. I thought Skylake would be a replacement for my i5 Sandy Bridge, but looking at specs, it's not tempting.

Those 35W pieces look attractive, question is price.

Didn't they switch up the suffixes? I'm pretty sure I read about unlocked CPU's having a C suffix now, instead of K

Pretty sure thats just for Broadwell, not sure why..

i7-6700K & i5-6600K Benchmark? http://www.pcfrm.com/intel-i7-6700k-vs-i7-4790k/
Fake/made by imbeciles. They mark i7-6700K as 4/4 C/T and do not wonder why it does as well as real i7 in cinebench where HT works flawlessly. So either they are very dumb or scores are taken out of their arses.

Apparently the 6700K can perform almost on par with the 5820K with two less cores and a third of the threads
Its clocked 700mhz lower, 5820 would wipe it out at same clocks. Either way i think those look fake.

I agree, my sarcasm was set to the maximum when I made my post :P.

Intel Core i7-6700T 2.8GHz 3.6GHz 8MB 4/8 35W Why is no one talking about this!? 35W 3.6GHz 4 core 8 thread CPU!!! THIRTY-FIVE WATT!!! This is insane, blew me away when I read this. I had to read it twice. This CPU will be amazing for HTPC/Media Center/low profile gaming PC/LAN PC. I know "T" model name means low energy/high efficiency and its not unlocked like the "K" models. Still insane for a 35W desktop CPU. If pricing is right on this chip I will 100% buy one for a low profile gaming rig.... (Steam Box anyone?)

Yes it's quite impressive but this site's all about the two chips at the top of the tree (and ensuing arguments on why it's good or bad) so it's been overlooked. I agree as a nice little steambox or even a barebone family PC. Heck something like this would be fantastic for my folks who have an i3 pc i built them a few years back to surf the web, i player, bbc sport etc. If the T range contains an integrated GPU too it would be very nice and very cheap to run.
