I would never have guessed that my RTX 2070S would have to last 4 years........

yeah don't want that,500eur for a non rt card
last october i got a 1070 strix for 150eur,when there were no cards already.not paying over 3x that for a pascal.
id much rather get the xbrix, the only thing thats stopping me is I gotta sell the s2716dg (secondary) first and get a hdmi 2.1 one.and I can't seem to find an option that would satisfy me.this is the one i want, but it's unavailable too

Maybe that's why Intel still hasn't released a firm ship date for Alder Lake. If the shortage lasts through 2022 I can imagine that both nVidia and AMD will be bleeding customers in terms of 3d gaming GPUs. The entire gaming industry--software included--is poised to take a hit if we have this barren product desert to look forward to for the next ~15 months.

It will be nice when this all settles down and we can get back to MSRP (what we used to think was perhaps over-priced). Not to mention, finding what you want in moments, from where you want to buy it, having choices and sales.

Hold on little 1070, you can make it!

I guess that's when they plan to get their fabs up to what they wanted them to be. Or when they now plan to achieve that.

2080ti and 1080ti both ended up as good deals for the money, long-term. Considering current pricing, I doubt anyone is going to be saying that of the 3080ti in a few years time.
