I would never have guessed that my RTX 2070S would have to last 4 years........

yeah, at hyper inflated prices. It takes a ton of good luck, and a miracle to find one even close to MSRP.

Intel does not seem confident their gpus next year will change anything.

Does it require that I already own an EVGA card? or I'm misunderstanding this.

You need a brand new evga 2060 (or any other evga card new) they need to see the invoice), doesn't matter at what cost cause all what you pay goes towards your step-up card.

Understood, that titan at 500 tho i'd have grabbed that as you won't find a rtx card now anyways. Like i mentioned i was in market for new card recently and it's the worse it's ever been.:(

yeah don't want that,500eur for a non rt card last october i got a 1070 strix for 150eur,when there were no cards already.not paying over 3x that for a pascal. id much rather get the xbrix, the only thing thats stopping me is I gotta sell the s2716dg (secondary) first and get a hdmi 2.1 one.and I can't seem to find an option that would satisfy me.this is the one i want, but it's unavailable too https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/acer/predator-xb273u-gxbmiipruzx

Maybe that's why Intel still hasn't released a firm ship date for Alder Lake. If the shortage lasts through 2022 I can imagine that both nVidia and AMD will be bleeding customers in terms of 3d gaming GPUs. The entire gaming industry--software included--is poised to take a hit if we have this barren product desert to look forward to for the next ~15 months.

It will be nice when this all settles down and we can get back to MSRP (what we used to think was perhaps over-priced). Not to mention, finding what you want in moments, from where you want to buy it, having choices and sales.

my friend still has a 1070 and hes been getting into VR gaming the past year or two. he had a Oculus Rift 1 since launch and never really used it much. Now his GPU is aging somewhat hes turned to VR and is having a blast with the new games and experience and he said that his 1070 is doing excellent in VR games even the more stressful ones like Doom, Fallout and Skyrim. I don't think hes tested Alyx yet though. Maybe something to look into. A used oculus is pretty cheap now and with most VR games being pretty light on resources it could end up tiding alot of people over for a year or two. I was considering it my self until I go super lucky with stock drops on a 6800XT.

I guess that's when they plan to get their fabs up to what they wanted them to be. Or when they now plan to achieve that.

2080ti and 1080ti both ended up as good deals for the money, long-term. Considering current pricing, I doubt anyone is going to be saying that of the 3080ti in a few years time.

I was considering one for my evga step up, they have 3070ti starting from 600 euros, and 3080ti for 1400 euros lol. (3080 900 euros) i went for nice 3070ti at 800 euros.
