So aside from a slight speed bump is this going to bring anything new to the table?

I would not call it great upgrade. It is probably barely noticeable difference clock to clock. We do not know at all if the 14nm process is good for overclocking. Leakage might skyrocket after some point.

Haswell refresh is still on 22nm and both should be compatible with z87.
Intel Rep/Ceo said this once in one video Haswell vs Broadwell power faceoff: "You can plug it in into existing systems or brand new systems and with broad range of fanless designs."

Not at all interested tbh. I think my upgrade path will be as usual, skip the next chipset.

I don't even know what I'm going to do anymore now. I need to get something soon, but I don't know if I should wait or not. I've waited for... I don't even know how long now.
If I wait a whole lot longer, I'll probably be helping Intel design it :bang:

Until DDR4 becomes mainstream there's no point upgrading for current 1150/1155 users.
Interesting to see what OC result will be like seeing as the VRMs are back where they belong.
Hope IHS fluxless solder is a standard again.
