most intel cpu`s are affordable, like the quad core i5, i7 even the k models. the 6 cores are more expensive, even then the 6 core k models arent that badly priced. the x models are the 1 grand chips

Intel seems overpriced until you actually spend the money compared to AMD. Dollar to performance I think they are well worth the premium vs. the competitors product. Its a good thing they made a good profit, that keeps them in the black and making products for us to enjoy.

I also switched to Intel in my last build. Fact is that AMD processors don't make much sense in combination with AMD's Crossfire. I don't see that situation change in the near future.
